Turning an Urn Into a Magical Mystical Lantern
I love this metal urn I got on sale. The beautiful cut out patterns kept whispering “I can be your magic lantern and make your dreams come true”
Well I've never been able to resist a whispering urn, so here's how we turned it into a magical genie lamp.
The only light fitting we had was a coppery color which didn't really go to well with the silver urn, so we stuffed some paper inside the fitting and gave it a coat of silver spray paint. Then we drilled a hole in the bottom of the urn and connected the light fitting.
Add a switch and a low wattage light bulb and watch the magic happen as the light dances across the walls.
I love how the light transforms a room, it makes me think of beautiful exotic places where magic happens.
