Wet Distressing With Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

This is a great technique if you are concerned sanding will remove the bottom finish on the piece you are painting. (Or if you don't have any sandpaper on hand!)
1) Give your piece a coat of your favorite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint shade.
2) Once the paint is just barely dry, use a damp cloth or paper towel to "distress" and wipe off the paint in different areas that would likely see wear.
3) Rub in some wax to make everything pop...and you're done!
Wet distressing works great on old gold frames like this.
ASCP Paris Grey was used on this frame.
Using a damp cloth, distress the edges and raised areas.
Dark wax ages the piece even more.
No sanding needed!
