Making a Pallet Side Table for an Awkward Space

The main bedroom in our little round house is odd, it's shaped kinda like a big slice of pizza, with a sliding door that leads to the lounge on the cut edge and a window on the round edge. A double bed just fits if you squish it in the corner, which doesn't leave a lot of room for a bed side table.
I must have gone to 7 different garage sales and flea markets but couldn't find anything. All the side tables we looked at were to wide to fit in that space, and I really needed somewhere to put my kindle and other bits and bobs.

Hubby to the rescue. Using some old pallets we had lying around he built the cute-ist, sexy-ist little pallet side table ala "farmhouse bench".
He used three relatively straight, narrow pieces with some character and cut them into equal lengths. Then he placed the pallets in a vice and drilled a hole right through, on either side, to insert a thread bar.
Using a hacksaw he cut off the extra bits of thread bar and fastened the whole contraption with nylocks and some wood glue.
I wanted to white wash the side table so we used a belt sander to sand the table and then hubby added some legs. One coat of Chalk Paint later and the side table was ready.
