I have a bedroom set from around 1950. The mirror is built into it and is showing signs of agan - like nor refelection

in areas. Is ther something I can do to bring the mirror back to life whan I get arond to painting the set?

Mirrors can be re-silvered. It seems pretty complicated, and I would leave it to a pro, but I'm sure there's someone around here who has tried it.

Thank you for the suggestions but this doesn't answer my question because I am hopoing to learn what would be involved if I did it myeself aor thave a vey handy neighbor do it.
