DIY Summer Watercolor Art!

Anyone can do this little art project! Perfect for Summer & I think older kids could do it! xo
I can't get enough of all-things-watercolor! I'm no artist friends, but I did an easy little watercolor project that even the paint-impaired among us can do!!!
I used cheap flat canvases and instead of my watercolors (in the photo) I used watered down craft paint! After painting the canvas with the paint and loads of water, I let it dry & printed out clip art of summer shapes!
Just cut out the shape and use like a stencil on the dry canvas...paint with watery colors of your choice!
It's going to be a mess when you take off the "stencil". Don't worry!
Using a flat brush dipped in water-clean up your edges!
After cleaning up the edges I added a bit more (very) watered down paint to some of the edges to soften!
Each one turned different but I love 'em!
I can't tell you how therapeutic it was to mix these scrumptious beachy colors with water and wash the canvas with summer blues and greens...ahhhhh xoxo
