Painting laminate countertop

I want to paint my countertops red but don't want a lot of steps. Can I just use paint without priming or sanding etc?

yes you can! go to lowes and look where they have the paint cans.. there should be a box that is paint for counter tops only. they can match it to a list of colors they have on boxes. it works well all so! have used on a few up fit homes and they turned out very well.
