Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jun 10, 2013I would suggest both. Lead test kits are pretty good. So they will give you an idea if they do contain lead paint. But a good quality clear sealer should be used anyway or you risk stains should something spill. If your concerned about the lead paint, and rightfully should be. You can always strip the doors, outside, using a good quality liquid or tape stripping compound, No heat gun, and repaint and distress the finish once it dries to mimic the older look.Helpful Reply
