DIY Upcycled Bar Cart

We found an old, ugly television stand at our local Goodwill and turned it into a gorgeous, modern bar cart! It was a really simple project and a fun way to take a boring piece and turn it into something amazing. Click through to the blog post to see the full instructions and how we made the custom bottles for our liquor!
This is what we started with. An old, not-so-great looking television stand that actually happened to be the exact same TV stand my grandmother had in her house!
We removed the glass and the handles, patched up some of the rough areas and painted the whole thing navy blue. Then, we built a stand for the bottom to make it look a little more like an actual piece of furniture.
We took the slide-out panels on the side (originally intended for VHS tapes!), removed the shelves, and added a panel with holes drilled in it for our bottles. We bought some glass bottles to use for all of our liquor and did some etching on them to customize them (see the blog post for details).
Finally, we stenciled the interior, added some trim and new pulls, and added a glass piece on top to finish it off! You can see lots of details and more photos on the full blog post.

Was the original TV stand sturdy enough to have it on casters instead of the leg base you made? I tried to make a cabinet w/ wheels, but it was too rickety and fell apart after a few weeks of moving it around..

Looks like the bottles would be hard to get out. ??

The base really makes a huge difference! Where did you find the feet?
