Well to answer your question you do in fact need to explain what you want to do? PAINT,STAIN? What are the doors made of?

Adding moldings as other suggested would physically change the structure. Something simpler would be to switch out the handles for a quick update. If they are cabinet doors or even interior or exterior doors, washing them and giving them a little spruce up are easy things to try as well.

Also, depending on which ones they are, ask yourself if they are necessary? Maybe removing a few might change your whole perspective of your spaces.

If the door is plain, you can use strips of wood, moldings or even large picture frames to create visual interest. From there, either paint it all the same, use colour, or try the cork roll you can purchase almost anywhere to add texture and even function, if you like. I have even seen flat backed cherubs and other beautiful shapes like scotch thistle inside the frames, again either painted out plain colour or antiqued/chalked/dry brushed once the base colour dries. Make sure you use a durable or washable paint, or laquer/acrylic over your hard work so it lasts. Hope that spurs your imagination!! I have seen some incredible black and white designs as well.
