How to Fix a Door That Sticks

Do you have a door that is constantly "sticking" in the jamb? If all the screws are tight in the hinge, try adjusting the hinge knuckle. It is much easier then redoing the jamb or sanding one side of the door.

  • Some of the older doors have screw on caps where the pins are placed. They look exactly like normal style hinges but you can hammer all day and the button on the top or bottom will not come out. Try unscrewing the top with pliers and see if that helps.
