Ack, my snapdragons are looking sick, just planted them.

Oh dear, I know we can expect some droopy plants after first planting, but this is ridiculous. I have 2 snapdragon plants, One is upright and looking fine, the other looks like it is dying! They are next to each other. We loosened the soil, sprinkled a few tiny Miraclegro beads around , planted, then a little mulch on top of the soil. One is a disaster.
Also the mulch hubs got said 'color enhanced', what does that mean , other than the obvious..and can it be good for the plants? He saw some red, and got the black, we have never gotten mulch before so this was a first experience.
Suggestions?

It probably isn't your mulch, unless you buried your snaps too deep with it. Did you buy the plants or grow them from seed? Can you post a picture of the two, it would sure help to see them to be able to give you any good educated guesses and advice.

Ok, I will try to get a picture in the morning. They were nice big plants, so weird, the top blossoms are trying to rebound, looking up, while the stems are going loopy droopy.Appreciate your interest and advice.! Thanks!

Snapdragons really need to be planted in the late fall or early winter. The prettiest snaps I have ever had in the spring were overwintered! Lots of osmocote in the hole as well, and they should also get plenty of water during this time. You will have blooms til Summer if you keep the faded flower stems pinched. Good luck in the future!

Just noticed you live in WA....your winters may be too cold to plant this early. Check your tags to see how cold-hardy they are....

Well, people are buying and planting them. One plant looks REALLY good, the other perks up, then droops, then perks up then droops. Have been too busy with illness in family to do much about it. And Off on vacation tomorrow. So if it survives, ok, if not, ok too. Everything else is just fine so far. Maybe hubs broke something or planted it wrong. Can't worry about it now. Thanks anyway. And i am sure some of last years seeds will come up, as they did last year.
