You Can Paint Anything "apparently"

When I was painting my vinyl ottoman with AS chalk paint, the first coat went on so nicely that I looked at my worn, weathered and beaten old shoes ( that I love) and thought, why not.......so I painted them too
I just washed them off and slapped on the chalk paint.
Wouldn't you know, they look like new, I've worn them for over a week and they are still ok. They are leather so I figure I can just keep painting them till they get too heavy to lug around. I may have ruined a good ottoman but saved a $10 pair of slop around shoes. I'm looking for fabric to cover the ottoman disaster so will keep you all posted. ;)
