Fabric Decoupage Technique

I want to try to decoupage a small piece of furniture with fabric and I've never done it before. What product(s) is used and what advice can you give me about trying this?

Personally, I've never tried this with fabric so I can't offer any tips. However, this HomeTalk member recently made over a dresser with fabric. I thought her results were stunning! She also has a blog where you may find more details on how this was done. If you have additional questions, I'm sure she would be happy to answer them for you. HT members and bloggers are generally more than happy to share any info they have about projects they've completed. :) http://www.hometalk.com/diy/bedroom/dressers/dresser-makeover-with-fabric-1582599

I've used Mod Podge on fabric before, never furniture but for boxes, crates, etc. I like Mod Podge because it comes in several finishes - matte, glossy.... Not super helpful, sorry. Good luck!

Had a wooden box with lid, did Mod Podge decoupage on the front with fabric, used the same fabric on light switch plates, & curtain valance.

I have had success using white glue t stick the fabric down, and then avarnish (matt sealer? on top. But i think ModPodge would work just as well....
