A Glam Master Bedroom Makeover

In the fall of 2015, I joined 200 + Designers/Bloggers in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home where we have 6 weeks to transform a room of our choice from boring to stunning! I picked our Master Bedroom & En-suite because it was, quite frankly, dated, boring and I so desperately wanted a change. But at week 4, I ran into a major set-back with our popcorn ceiling which left me with no choice but to switch to another room for the remainder of the challenge. Was I discouraged? Yes! Defeated? No!!! I’m back in the spring of 2o16 and transforming our Master Bedroom again!
Master Bedroom Makeover
Our master bedroom is now the retreat that any master bedroom should be. No more dark red walls and definitely NO more popcorn ceiling.
Adated Master Bedroom awaiting its makeover.
We started out with dark red walls, orange laminate flooring, a popcorn ceiling and a LARGE & UGLY ceiling fan.
I hit a major snag trying to remove the "popcorn" from our ceiling since it had previously been painted! Please check out my blog to read the post on the details of our popcorn ceiling coverup!
NO more popcorn ceiling!
After much deliberation and research, we opted for replacing our popcorn ceiling with drywall. Adding a glam chandelier really transforms this room now!
