An ugly duckling thrift store dresser gets an Equestrian themed makeover for a shabby cottage style master bedroom.
I bought this antique dresser at a thrift shop for $20. The veneer was peeling in a few places but it had great lines. I covered the missing veneer gaps with spackle and painted it a distressed white and placed it in my shabby chic style master bedroom.
Over time I grew tired of the all whole piece and the spackle chipped away again so I decided it was time for another update. This time I used wood filler to fix the gaps in the veneer, painted the drawer fronts a soft blue and added beautiful drawer pulls. I finished it off with a horse inspired decal I designed and printed from my computer.
I love the new look! For a closer peek at the finished dresser please visit my website.
