I want to know if this is a flower or weed. Please help.
This came up in my front flower bed and I don't know if it's a flower or weed. Should I get rid of it?

Look up Green Spider Plant - Cholorphytum. If this is the plant (there will be some that are stripped but mine are solid green) they are great fill in plants around trees. I had a potted one once and left it out under the tree when we first moved into our new home and now 20 years later it is all around it, beautiful cover. It started out as a hanging plant. I pick the "babies" off and replant them to give as gifts. Easy starter plant, very minimal care needed.

Take your picture to a good local plant nursery and ask them about the plant. I could be a grass. There are types that grow in bunches. A good nursery will know exactly what you have. Don't take guesses. It is best to know from an expert. If you didn't plant it and your lawn grass is near by, seeds can grow if they get in the garden. More than likely it was transported by the birds. You could take part of the plant with you to the nursery, just incase they don't feel comfortable identifying a picture.

flower. I planted Dianthus from seed last fall and this is exactly what it looks like. flower spikes will next shoot up and lovely scented deep pink flowers will open . It should bloom throughout the summer unless you don't water during hot dry spells or your summers are extremely hot.

Have no idea how it got in my flower bed. Hope that's what it is. Time will tell. When do they bloom?

Dianthus for sure. It's an annual but it comes up every year and spreads. It's a good one to have and easy to take care of!

Thank you everyone. I'm getting the same answer so I'm going with that. It's going to be beautiful because it's huge. I appreciate your help.
