How to Create a Summertime Mantel...for Free!

Creating a mantel with a Summer look and feel can be quick and easy. And free. All you need is a good pair of garden clippers, a sturdy pair of shoes, some jumping/climbing abilities - and a few ditch-banks covered with wild flowers. :) See how I used a ditch-bank full of Queen Anne's Lace to create a Summertime Mantel.
Summertime has "blossomed" at The Everyday Home's mantel.
A small pink and white Staffordshire pitcher filled with more lacy blooms.
Old books and wood candlesticks lend a vintage feel.
More yard clippings filling a large farmhouse pitcher.
A simple white pitcher filled to the brim with Queen Anne's Lace and a metal numbered tag.
Buck looks over a mantel filled with lacy white blossoms, white farmhouse pitchers and pink and white Stafforshire dishes.
... and old dough bowl adds texture and patina.
