SharkBites-Man's best friend or plumbing folly?

I've installed numerous shark bite fittings with great success. Does anyone have a strong opinion on them-pro or con?

My husband started using pex a few years ago and loves it. Whenever we have a problem and it needs fixing this is what we use and will keep using until everything in the house is replaced with it.

I love sharkbite fittings. I recently used them in a bathroom remodel and they are holding fine so far. I actually used the kind that had valves built in: copper -> sharkbite with valve -> pex. It was really handy to be able to stop the water flow considering I hadn't installed the shower pan yet. The question is: do they hold up over time? Time will tell...
