I bought a new chicken coop this spring and wanted to decorate it using vintage looking galvanized tub window boxes!
I wanted to decorate my plain chicken coop. I made vintage looking galvanized tub window boxes that I bought . First to get rid of the shine, I sprayed them several times with with vinegar and calcium and left them outside for few days. When ready I drilled drainage holes and then placed a liner. I placed a small wood block to window area to bring out to attach the tub to coop and screwed it in place . I then screwed tub in place making sure it was level, then filled with potting soil and planted violas. They have filled in and look great, don't you think? Now you can change the seasonally!
This is our newest nature inspired winter decor using things from yard , no cost.
Suggested materials:
  • New galvanized 5 gallon tubs, screws, vinegar, calcium, poting soil, 10 screws , coconut liners, p   (Tractor store for the tubs)
