What should I use to support the weight of a Galvanized tub with dirt in it? I've seen shepard hooks used but it didn't support the weight of my tub.

I'm glad you asked this because I was having the same problem.

@Heather is TooInspiredToSleep good idea...or thicker ones. Another option would be to use the lighter one with a brick or smaller cement block to support the tub from underneath. I like the look of it.

I have a couple of these and I love them to death. I place a terra cotta pot upside down as a stand and either place in a bed or put other containers round to support.

I would support it from the bottom, but keep the hook to give the impression that it is hanging. I would then grow some trailing plants (pretty much the way you have) to hide the bottom support. The current flowers look lovely, and I also like the plants you have in your flower bed.

I live in the MO Ozarks, would use rocks, with some pretty low growing ground cover, and let it " flow out" over the ground

my hook is thicker then yours, and I put a large under the tub and hide it with dirt.

Place a black pot on the ground, underneath it for support. THEN stack rocks around the support to hide it. ~or~ don't hide your underneath support at all.... and make it look like a fairy house ;-)

It looks like there is just a plastic flower pot inside this tub, so it wouldn't be all that heavy.
