I like serviceberry!

My serviceberry is fruiting right now. I have to get there before the birds each day but enjoy eating handfuls of the little apple-tasting fruit. It's an excellent native tree: attractive flowers, tasty fruit and brilliant fall color!

I look forward to trying some. I wil add it to my list, I have eaten redbud flowers (not a strong taste but crunchy) and Kousa dogwood fruits.

Thanks, Walter, in Fayetteville I tried Andy's and Turnipseed's Nurseries and neither one had serviceberry. I'm still looking. I may have to schedule a trip to Grayson.
