Does anyone know how to get rid of highway grass in your lawn?

Highway grass is the tall thin grass that grows first in your lawn and is usually seen along stretches of the highway or interstate.

I think you mean Bahiagrass (Paspalum notatum), Cheryl. Clemson University has suggestions for control here: http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/pests/weeds/hgic2316.html When using a herbicide on your lawn, it is very important to know what type of turf you have and to make sure the herbicide is approved for use on that type of grass.
