I was told this was called purple jack plant or black jack plant but I looked it up and got my answer that it is definitely not those.. They was all planted the same time but for some reason they all are not growing even close to the same height. (which I know they will not be the exact same)

    Canna lillies, is what they look like to me.

    I'm with Angel they are canna lillies. They come in lots of sizes and colors and depending on your zone they must be covered in the fall to make sure they come back. Old wise tail is do not uncover till after Mothers Day to make sure the make it.

    these grow wild in my fields, I have trouble keeping them out of the garden

    Look for small spiders in webs , in the tight rools of the leaves!!

    Leaf rollers get in the leaves prior to the leaves unrolling and eat rows of holes. Treat with garlic spray.
