I just used Rustoleum Hammered Copper on a project and it gave me a very warm, soft brushed copper effect as oppose to a harsher orangy metallic. I bought a quart of the paint-on hammered Copper, not the spray paint. While the spray paint gives you a VERY hammered effect, the brush/roll on just gives you a nice warm petina'd copper. I have also found that Rustoleum paints are excellent for doors because even the acrylic ones are tough as nails. I think your new door will be beautiful!

Yes. I did a mailbox and some pots. It held up well.

I would do the screen door and frame work in the metal color, the interior door in a robins egg blue, would go well with the yellow and be 'inviting' into he home. I would be hesitant to make the entire entrance look like Fort Knox.

    • @Yvette Lecuyer you can also try Modern Masters. they have metallics in all of the colors. they also have Front door paint. personally, I think a nice aqua would suit your color scheme perfectly. Maybe use the hammered copper on the railings? just a thought. GL.

Have you considered something green? Almost any color - but rich - not a pale yellow based moss.

Why not use a gray tone with blue. Your roof is gray so I think that might be a good contrast.

I think a dark gray door and two pair of white shutters. Cut the bushes to the top of the porch. Too wonky and tall.
  • Judy Judy on May 27, 2016
yes shutters would look awesome. Not to wide though

How about a brownish black door and homemade window shutters of the same color of door. Use a grey for trims. It would make your home feel very welcoming. Just a thought. It would go great with your beautiful country looking home.

    How about a red/brick colour

Since the rest of the house is neutral, I would start by painting the foundation the same color as the hours. I would add shutters to match the color of the door. My suggestion would be a cool color. Here is a sample. Since I can't see all of the house I worked on the right side.

The chick who talked about modern masters that’s what it is I have them a couple of them and I’m a huge fan of copper myself I have a really super cool large farmhouse copper sink and it’s smooth copper personally all these people who are saying hammered I personally hate the hammered copper look that’s just my personal opinion my bad a** sink is smooth copper I am not a fan of the hammered look I don’t like the rustoleum hammered paint I like the smooth copper and the warm copper versus the bright is beautiful the aged copper is awesome so yes look into modern masters and that front door line she’s right about that too they have this whole line specific to painting front (house) doors. Idk why other people are trying to tell you to do something different? You didn’t ask for advice you know what you want you’re just trying to find it anyhow post some pictures of your finished door I would love to see it and honestly the one other person was pretty right about googling it just straight up type into the Google search engine warm copper paint maybe specify brushable something or to come up
