Karen Holsopple on May 25, 2016Remove the cord and light bulb. Go to Michael's and get"stained glass" paint to paint your glass lampshade, if it's not already painted. Spray paint the lamp with Rustoleum paint (I do mine in gold and silver), put a solar light in it and voila, you have a beautiful solar lamp for your yard or garden. Here are some of mine....Helpful Reply

Heather McKinney on May 25, 2016I'm with @Lynne Krywulycz...do you have a pic? It would be easier figuring out what you could do with it, if we could see it.Helpful Reply

Bobbie Littlefield on May 25, 2016Put a bowl under it, a smaller bowl inverted inside that (for the pump) and turn it into a water feature...don't glue together! Use anti-mold clear silicone...Helpful Reply

Maggie Gallagher on May 25, 2016cut branches from a tree, birch, maple ,whatever is around in the woods, about 1 1/2 inches around and the length of the metal pole stand and glue them on until they cover all the metal, to whatever thickness you like..cover the shade in a pattern of your liking. Voila a lamp for your deck and country looking.Helpful Reply

Paula Brock on May 26, 2016Paint the base and pole a black, gold, or silver, and secure styrofoam in the glass shade with hot glue, etc. Then make a huge arrangement of silk flowers and greenery that trails over and down the pole. I made one with an antique lamp base, and placed it in a corner, and it looked beautiful. It is different and becomes an eye catcher when one walks in the room. Make sure you use lots of flowers and greenery so your shade is hidden. I had seen one in a shop, and the price tag was $175.00. I made mine for around 20.00, and I liked mine better. I hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Paulette on May 26, 2016Depending on how it is shaped..... I use mine outside and put outdoor lights in the lamp shade area. It get enough sunlight to recharge the batteries. Have made some out of an old chandelier, also.Helpful Reply
