DIY Gold Dipped Bud Vases

I love the look of gold dipped vases from high-end department stores, so I decided to replicate the look for less. I found several bud vases at my local thrift store to use for this project, but any vases you might have stashed around your home would work also.
I taped off the area that I did not want to be painted with tape, exposing only the area I wished to be painted.
I used a gold metallic spray paint to paint the vase.
After several coats and the paint is dry, remove the tape.
That's it! I made each one differently so the set is unique. Come see how pretty they look on a silver tray. A glamorous look for less!
Suggested materials:
  • Thrift Store Vases
  • Metallic Gold Spray paint
  • Tape

I'm thinking...HMMM. I 'd try this with silver, platinum, aluminum paint...HMMM. Then try different colored paint... HMMM. How about fluorescent paint for my granddaughter. All kinds of possibilities.
