It's 2 a.m.! What's a girl to do!
well, it really was 2 a.m., I couldn't sleep! Went to work, it was hammertime! Hammer in one hand, screwdriver in another! The pictures tell it all! It was fun and I made a lot of noise AND a new kitchen light fixture!
I had a blast making this! I mean really! How many colanders does a girl need! ( me? I need a lot of them!
just grab your fave colander! 29.95 from Home Goods, oh yes MY FAVE ONE! THE COPPER ONE! and hammer away!
punch a hole in the bottom, stick it up under the ceiling fixture, steady......holding....
oops, ok add some washers as shims, helps level it and adjusts the height!
nice subtle lighting in my newly remodeled kitchen! kitchen by kat!
I love it! It matches my copper ceiling fan too! It IS a conversation piece! :)

How much light does it put out? Paint the ceiling part copper so it blends together as one light. Love your idea. Wish I could change my kitchen light. I rent & its a fan/light.

I like colander idea but I think I'll turn the colander the other way and make it a bare bulb light with the colander above it like a lampshade. Copper is perfect.
