What's the correct pitch?

Starting to rip the three layers of shingles off my (new) Old shed. Leaked like a sieve. It measures 7'3" in the front & 6'9" in the rear. Which only makes it a 4" - is that enough? Who ever built it used boards and didn't brace it correctly, I noticed the boards sagging in the center & also at the back. I want to do it right this time.

Need to know the distance front to back to determine pitch. Shingles should be used on pitches greater than 3 in 12 otherwise use 90# rolled roofing or a rubber membrane. You may also consider using 5/8" plywood as a new roof substrate sheeting. As maintenance you need to regularly remove any debris on the roof.
