It is a double day lilly.
Yup! a double! I call them "the old fashion" Daylily. They were on our farm when we bought it over 30yrs ago. It is still growing strong! :)
I have these growing in my yard. It is some sort of a double day lilly .It was here when I moved here over 16 years ago, and I have divided and replanted them in several beds. A bird could have gotten and dropped a bulb.....i have several plants the birds have helped me get started. Enjoy!
It's a double..... BEAUTIFUL!
I have those growing in my Lilly bed ...very beautiful....hay Lexi I am from Burleson ...my family still lives there...you made me smile this morning :)
The name of the daylily is Kwanso. It is a beautiful heirloom lily.

i love these! they grow wild all over Missouri! I remember them in both of my grandmas yards! it makes me mad when the highway department mows them down along with all of the other wild flowers growing!
Yup, you have yourself a double...cool.
Lexi D, daylilies are not a bulb. They can be grown from seed but most folks just divide the roots.
I was out there yesterday and mine actually has three layers of petals so I would think that mine is not a double but a triple
Double orange daylily - I have them in Georgia, too.
I have them too. Mine have multiplied so much the last 4 years they have become invasive! I have divided them for 4 years and still have too many!!
Yes it is a daylily. The name of it is Kwanso. Very pretty to look at but is a "bully". It spreads underground and will take over everything. The newer hybridized daylilies aren't bullies and are your best bet unless you want something to take over the hillside.
How do you get the seeds to start them
grows wild in tennessee here. they are daylilies. grows from bulbs
We call them Tiger Lily in Pa...they grow wild.
They are Day Lilies, believe it or not not native to PA, but when they were introduced they literally took over and are everywhere I love them. they transplant well and are very hardy, I love mine so much I brought them to florida with me when I moved and they are growing happily in my yard!
