Sitting in my back yard and looking at this Old Steer Skull that I've had for years. I thought I wonder what it would look like if I used Unicorn SPiT Gel Stain on it. And then the Ideas came swarming in....
After cleaning the skull up real good. And after thinking a bit on that I wanted to paint on it. I decided on something to reflect this time of year, what says 4th of July better than the American Flag.
Of course I use Unicorn SPiT Gel stain. using a 1 inch artist brush and diluting each color by 30 % I started with Blue Thunder for the Blue of the flag which signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
Then I used White Ning for the White stripes which signifies purity and innocence..
And then Molly Red Pepper for the Red stripes signifying hardiness and valor.
After that I went back with a damp clean and lint free cloth and blended the colors some to get a more soft look. I mixed a little white acrylic paint with the White Ning for the Stars.

After all was dry I used Brown shoe polish with a cloth and rubbed it all over the skull giving it an aged look. Finished by spraying the whole thing with fast drying clear gloss.
Our flag represented our freedoms -- Freedom to explore your dreams and desires, be it grabbing something out of your back yard and painting it. It's all about what makes you happy and Finding this amazing product Unicorn SPiT Gel Stain and finding ways of using it has made me a happy girl....
