Replacing a seat on a ladderback chair

I would like to use jute to replace the chair seat.

    can you post a pic? I restored a pair of chairs earlier this year that had woven cane backs. I picked up some cane from a mail order place and did a full replacement.

    Thank you for the suggestions but this doesn't answer my question because these chairs seats were not cane. I can cane and have done many chairs but these chairs have had some kind of rail around it and no caning holes. I think it will have to be wrapped with some material but not sure what to use. Thank you for your response. My camera isn't working so I can't post a pic Regards, Eugenia

    Sheet cane is not "woven" through holes. It is laid over the opening and set with "splines". The rails you see may be the tops of the splines. You will need to remove those and clean out the groove channel below them. This video shows some techniques http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdOJfyouk2Q
