Repurpose old candle jars to give them the x-factor!
I hate wasting stuff, so I tend to reuse or repurpose them. I had already enjoyed the candles in these jars, and I wanted to glam them up a bit before using them.
First I had to clean them properly...
So I simply filled them with hot water from the tap, let it sit for about 1 minute, poured the water out in the toilet(I know many people shout NOOOOOO to that, but I do it anyway... As you can see: there isn't much left, just residue, and in hearnest: I use the paper to clean it all out, the water is just to make it soft, and the little that melts in the hot water and goes in the toilet becomes solid little droplets of stearin, hardly visible, so please; I've heard it all before, I choose to do it like this anyway...;-) But you can use the freezing method if you'd rather!)
...and then it only takes a few paper towels to get all the "gunk" out, and a clean one to polish it totally clean.
This is where the FUN part starts, I played around with different ribbons and pearls, to find the design I wanted.
Using a hot glue gun I started with the first layer...
...then the pompoms went on, and the pearls last...
I really think they look cute on my newly hung shelf as well!!! (You can see how I hung the shelf like a boss in another post... ;-)

The candle holders turned out beautiful. Great idea😊 My question is did you create the lovely artwork hanging below the shelf in the last pic above? It is gorgeous.
