Screen Porch Added to 1925 Cottage

I designed this 10 x 20 screened porch I had built across the back of my 1925 cottage. Using old fabrics, white wicker, and some old furniture pieces it has become a refuge where the singing birds and breezes quiet the soul. The pickets were salvaged from the porch of another old home adding character and savings, too.

@TJ. I had a local contractor build it. He worked with me to stay within my budget. Total cost $ 11,500. I saved by using a prefab aluminum roof system. It was ordered to specs and arrives with a finished ceiling, insulation, and channels for wiring the ceiling fans.
