This old worn out gate became an inspiration for a sign. The minute I saw it I thought of the horizon over the ocean.
Old gate that was falling apart.
I had to scrubbed the gate with bleach to remove years of grime and mildew and do a few repairs.
Gate with Letters Taped on
I created the words I wanted to put on the sign from my computer and transfered them to the gate. When the hinges were removed the unpainted part looked like a lighthouse.
I painted the sign after a local beach in my area.
Once I painted in Coquina Beach I applied two coats of Polycrylic to protect the paint and added screws eyes for hanging.
