I took the glass out of mine (it is in the bathroom) and made a little "curtain" that I attached with double sided tape. Worked out great! And, cheap enough that I can easily change it whenever the urge strikes! ;)

Can the glass be removed to be decorated? Can you please take a picture of the cabinet door? TY😀

Have you ever checked out "Gallery Glass"? I've used it for several projects in my house. This is a picture of my bathroom window. I wanted privacy but didn't want a curtain because of the shape. You just tape the pattern to the back of the window, and use it as a guide while you paint. Really easy! You ca buy the paint on line or in craft stores.

We have a small window in the pantry that I put wallpaper over. It's worked great for years. I just taped it on the back side of the window. Works for us.

This door was given to me and there is a design in the middle of it ... didn't get a pic yet, but will.

Pamela... if you like the design in the middle of the window you can take a marker out line it and then color it in and then seal it with mod podge and if you don't want it in the door pull it out and frame it.

A slew of questions: do you want to keep the glass that is in it and decorate it? Can you remove the glass from the door? Do you want to replace the opening with another type of translucent glass/plastic, wood, textile? What is the cabinet used for, where will the cabinet be located? What is the outside dimensions of the door? Whew! Sorry about all the questions! 💐💐

@Thenitecrow I would like to keep the glass in it possibly and use it for shelf or something useful. It is either too small or too big to change out one of my cupboards doors for that purpose.

I can take it or leave as far as the design goes. Would like to keep the glass insert in.

Perhaps a decorative chain on the top and hang it in front of a window? If you can remove the wood surround you can sand it/wood fill any holes and refinish it to match your décor? If you have a sander you can also round off the corners of the wood (remove glass first, please).

Hmmm, this is a good idea also.

Pamela, If it sounds like something you may like you can also cut the door in half and make either a side trable or a new chair or bench out of it.

I just realized I should have mentioned this is a cabinet door.

I am thinking I will remove the glass and put a decorative chain on it to hang in front of a window. Thank you everyone for your ideas.
