Decorating the Outdoors: Makeover Phase 2

Our first two summers in our house consisted of renovating the rundown screened in porch and installing a pool and 4 new decks in the backyard. They were huge projects that took a lot of time and money. And when we got done both areas still looked pretty sterile. This summer we finally have no huge projects looming over our heads so I finally had time to get down to making each space pretty. Everything is still a work in progress, but I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The tanning deck is a favorite spot for the whole family so we made sure there we enough lounges for everyone.
These beautiful planters not only help soften the hardscaping, but eventually will help provide some privacy from the neighbors.
The backyard oasis we always dreamed of is starting to become a reality!
Our backyard 3 years ago. Basically a blank slate.
We picked up this amazing sectional off Amazon. It's literally my favorite thing in our entire house. I may have even napped on it.
Our dining wall got some curtains I picked up at Ikea to provide some relief from the afternoon sun. They also make the porch feel cozy and intimate in the evenings.
The porch 3 years ago. Great bones but lacking charm.
