Cute gift bags made from empty flour & Sugar bags. These easy to make gift bags are perfect for the baker in your life! ( I am a first time user so please excuse this post if it is not done correctly.)
1.) Open bags you are using very carefully, dump flour into your flour container, dump empty bag upside down and tap to get as much excess flour out as possible.
2.) Fold bag by pressing the ends in ( how a gift bag looks before you open it to put a gift in) flatten the bag gently and cut off any parts that may have been damaged when you opened the bag originally
4.) Using scissors cut each of the four corners down to the crease of where you folded. Now glue the flaps and press them down. Let dry.

Great idea for gift cookies. I give baked goods to the garbage men in cold weather. However, I'd go a step further and use the vacuum hose to really get out every particle of flour. Raw flour can harbor disease. If you are using these bags for food, it has to be sterile, so food would have to be wrapped in something else. I think the King Arthur Flour website might have info on raw flour, but this info is easily available on google search.

What do you think of dog/cat food bags? The big bags for blankets and comforters; small bags for other stuff. I always recycle the Milk Bone boxes, sometimes wrapped, other times, not.
