Duncan Fyfe chairs are at almost every flea market I've ever been to. Probably not in a set of six or eight but you can buy them here or there until you get enough then recover the seats to match.
There is also Ebay and Craigslist where I have had good luck in finding Duncan Phyfe pieces.
I love mixing old with new....not everyone's style, but I would put some acrylic ghost chairs around it , or some cool mid century plastic or wire molded ones. http://media2.onsugar.com/files/2011/08/33/2/1878/18782013/66a362c956d7b0b6_DSCN2057.preview.jpg
I have the same table.......alas, also no chairs!
I had a table like this once :)
Here's a link. I have a table very similar. Gorgeous! http://www.mahoganyandmore.com/product_listing.asp?producttype=diningchair&gclid=CISyvNqsgLgCFVIV7AodSXAAOA.
That table is much lighter colored than most Duncan Fyfe tables I have seem ... my mom's is really dark mahogany colored!
just like my table, how many leaves do you have too make it bigger. i still have the original chairs. sorry no help...
I am kind of facing the same problem. I am buying a drop leaf table from my neighbor and their are no chairs with it. I am going to look at thrift stores, goodwill, salvation army even big lots and flea market.
there has to be something out there somewhere
There are Duncan Phyfe Chairs on Ebay right now. 6 of them, currently going for $200...although shipping may be that much again or more. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Beaufitul-Duncan-Phyfe-Chairs-on-the-Shield-Back-design-Statesville-Ross-N-C-/121132508214?pt=Antiques_Furniture&hash=item1c340f6436 The color is a little light for yours, though. I would check Craig's List on a regular basis, or put an ad on Craig's List under "wanted". Wade through eBay for the different styles that would work with your table, and it will give you a good idea of what to look for as companions to this table, which is gorgeous, by the way!
Craigslist!!! I've found them for $25.00 each.
ty for the replys I know the table isn't the dark mahogany color of most Duncan tables just a personal preference and I am missing the leaves. I think the chairs are harder to find because of the wear and tear they go through the years but you guys got some good suggestions on finding them ty very much
I think more wood is to much. I'd love to see cloth covered chairs with this unless you are going for a totally formal look. try something new. you can always change back.
