My $10 Chair

Bought this chair at a local sale for only $10. With the addition of some ASCP and drop cloth fabric, it's now a beauty
My friend sold me this chair for $10. It needed reupholstering and painting.
First coat is ASCP Coco, then I added a white wash and some antiquing oil
Finished result is a griege effect that highlights the curves and shape of the chair.
Drop cloth was used to reupholster the seat and arms.
Final touch is a row of double piping around the edges.

  • Rita McKenzie - I paid someone to do it and it cost $250. There's no way I could have done the reupholstering myself. And yes, it's the fabric that you put on the floor for painting - it looks like real linen at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks Heather. I'll have to look at drop cloth with a different eye!
