Giant picture frame....ideas anyone???

I found this beauty today at a garage sale. I got it for $10.00! Now the hard part, what to do with it. It is almost 6' tall and 4' wide. First thought is to do a collage of pictures inside with cool frames, however I'm open to ideas. Thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone has unique ideas. Thanks

That would make a stunning mirror frame to lean up against a wall. You could paint the frame black or whatever to match your decor.

first I would clean the frame and repair any issues. Paint/stain/gold foil it whatever suits your fancy. Then find a really pretty piece of fabric and frame it or use fabric as a backdrop for a special picture. Or you could have a mirror cut for it. It all depends on you, your imagination and the solidness of the frame.

Could be great in a home office framing a rectangle of magnetic chalk paint.

I don't know how feasible this is, but there are products out there on the web for painting glass and making a mirror. Just a thought. I agree a black frame with a mirror against a wall would be rather super.

I would hang it as is, and have an ever changing display inside the frame

Using either 1x6 or 2x6 boards you could create a kind of shadow box with a variety of shelf heights and lengths within the 6'x4' frame you would then attach to the front of the box. You could paint the box materials to match or contrast with the color of the frame.

Hang it horizontally over your bed as a headboard. Find a piece of fabric you adored cotton, weave, brocade, something with texture or shine and tack it taut to the back of the frame. Change seasonally.

to dress up a plain wall maybe paint it the same color. putting other smaller frames inside would be be pretty too.

Make a loom out of it and then learn to weave. There are a lot of sites that will teach you how for free. Or find other frames distress them all the same color but go lighter as they get smaller and hang them inside each other.

Paint a favorite quote on the wall (or hang a wall decal) Use the frame to frame it.
