Again , I,m new at this.table has a shiny top coat on it , how do I get get that distressed look ? If I do this one right I will distress the lingerie cabinet that matches the end table . Try and make it simple for me .thank you.

Look into Annie Sloan. Her paints are a bit costly, but the look is unmistakable. She has books and YouTube videos to help you get that distressed look. You can even research how to do it with homemade Chalk Paints. You can make your own with plaster of Paris. (You can use non-sanded grout, but it's not good to sand that as it gives off toxic stuff that not everyone will tell you that).
