Cabin decor ideas

We live in an older log home in the country. It has 2 sets of stairs...I need some ideas for the areas at the top or bottom of stairs. Kind of a dark corner for something to grow in!?!?!? Any other fun ideas?

Pictures would help.....but depending on how dark the places are, a real plant just needs some light....How about a small table the size of a night stand with a colorful artificial bouquet on it for one of your places. For the other a tall vase with twigs, or a basket filled with artificial greenery.

Start with mirror to reflect light. You could add a small table or a bench. Even a chair would help to catch small things until you take them upstairs. There are many plants that like low light. Start there and build.

If you use real plants add a floor lamp or small table and lamp. Are the landing or wall on the outside that a window or skylight could be added?
