I let the dog out and I got busy on the deck waiting for her forgetting I put eggs on to boil. I've been inside now for 30 mins. The windows open, fans going but still VERY smokey. Anything else I can do to get rid of the smoke? What can I do for the smell? HELP!!!!PLEASE!

Try boiling white vinegar with water on the stove continually . Open up some baking soda boxes as well. The combination should take care of the odor.

Only one member came to my rescue and suggested white vinegar and water on the stove continously (something I use in the winter to help the sinus') and baking soda. I used the vinegar suggestion, open windows, fans and fragrant candles.

If the vinegar isn't cutting the odour, try boiling up some thickly sliced oranges or lemons. The citric acid will help to break down the sulfur smell of the eggs.

I would simmer some orange slices and cinnamon sticks. Boiling vinegar to me would be a worse smell than the eggs! Definitely open the windows and get some fresh air flowing through the kitchen.

Yes I know, I mentioned in an earlier reply that it's great for a head cold in the winter. I've used it often. Vinegar is useful for so many things. I always have it handy. Thanx again.

Hi Lea, Simply set small bowls half filled with baking soda in a few key areas around your home, on top of a stove or near a garbage pail for a few hours to absorb and neutralize burnt odors as necessary. Remember to place the bowls of baking soda away from children or pets. Hope this helps you out
