My golden pear tomato plant gives me mushy tomatoes, why?

The plant is huge, taking over two cages and going over a wall, lots of tomatoes. I have picked them perfectly ripe and a bit under-ripe, but they are all mushy.

some varieties are "mushier" than others...have you grown this type before? and if so, did you get mushy fruit then?. variations in soil moisture is the leading cause for texture changes in the fruit, that and storage conditions. Tomatoes should not be stored in cold location ( like the fridge)

I'm with KMS. If that variety of pear tomato isn't measuring up, plant a different variety next year.

Thank you for the feedback. I just removed the plant from the garden today, will try a different variety next year.
