What do you do with a piece of broken picture frame and a single wood spindle? Make a Garden Angel, of course. (aka a Christmas Angel - popular holiday décor item in December)
I whipped up some homemade chalk paint (any latex paint and 20-30% plaster of paris, stirred together by hand), grabbed some E6000 glue, a never used cookie cutter and some very junk jewelery.
I love the simple clean look of the Angel on its own but when I took on the task of decorating a friend's porch for a party they were hosting, the Angel got to make a more public appearance.
