How to Hang a Shelf With Two Keyholes

When you have to hang anything with two keyholes, you have to not only get your piece level, but you have to get the placement of the anchors and screws perfect. It's even harder when you are hanging them by yourself. I'm sharing a quick and easy way to do-it-yourself and get it just right!

You need perfect placement of your anchors and screws to get your wall mounting correct.
When you have a shelf with two keyholes, it makes it harder to get the placement correct.
Using some colored chalk, you can mark on the top of the shelf where you need your anchor and screw to go.
Using an awl, you can mark the spot where your anchor and screw can go for the perfect placement.

    How do you account for the vertical distance from the keyhole to the hole in the sheetrock at the top of the shelf?
