Clematis are sometimes maddeningly slow to start blooming. How much sun are your plants getting? Are you fertilizing, and, if so, with what?

My clematis is facing south so gets quite a bit of sun, I just used Miracle grow on them, surrounding area has quite alot of pacesandra (can't spell) around it. I see your from New Smyrna. I go down to Sea Woods in NS in Feb and March. So you have a garden?

Oh yes, Joan, I definitely have a garden. The pachysandra should be shading your clematis's roots, which would be a good thing. Maybe you should hold off on the fertilizer for a bit.
