Cleaning Fruit!

This was shared on my Facebook page and for years, I used a spray bottle with water and white vinegar to wash fruits and veggies. But I didn't know about how this helps preserve berries too!

Lily-I was thinking maybe to try this in a bowl, rather than a sink? Just wash the fruit with vinegar and water and maybe drying it thoroughly with clean paper towels will remove residue. I would imagine the sink would have to be sparkling clean prior to starting--may be easier to use a large bowl instead? Easier to see if the water is dirty that way too.

I believe that friction is important, when you wash your hands in health care it is the friction that removes germs. Ask any nurse.
