Is there an easy way how to clean window seals?

My window seals are covered in black looking dirt and dead bugs. I would like some ideas on how others clean theirs and keep them that way without to much effort, and what products have been used for easy cleanup.

hi well i always usually get out the vaccum first then the grease cutter spray and paper towels, they are hard to keep clean with the dust and all, once you get them under control? think spring cleaning then winter then fall then summer lol

The black IS mildew. I vacuum up the loose debris, spray a multipurpose cleaner and then wipe with paper towels. Nasty job, but looks great afterwards. I don't know of a way to keep it that way, tho. Also, it's window sills, not seals.
