    I have these also in my front yard. We bought the house in November so I have no idea what they are.

    Torenia, commonly called the wishbone flower. Look inside the bloom and the wishbone is usually visible.

    Torenia. Good annual plant to use as a replacement for imapatiens.

    Does this plant become a vine as it grows? It kind of looks like a Morning Glory to me. Of course, I'm new enough to gardening to easily be wrong!

    Torenia, needs plenty of water especially in dry spells, it does not trail it grows in a mounding shape and it is from the snapdragon family. Can self seed but not evassive.

    Yes,Definitely Torrenia ! It selfseeds profusely. Even though mine is a container garden in my terrace,i find young plants in many of my pots.
